Step 1: Preparing Your Supplies

  • Gather the necessary supplies: a bucket, car wash soap, microfiber wash mitts, wheel brush, drying towels, pre-wash chemicals, pressure water hose, and buffing pads.

  • Park your car in a shaded area to prevent premature drying of soap on the paint.

Step 2: Pre-Wash Stage

  • Rinse your car with a pressure water hose to remove loose dirt and debris.

  • Apply a pre-wash chemical to the lower areas of your car to break down stubborn dirt, grime, and bugs.

  • Allow the pre-wash chemical to dwell for a few minutes before rinsing it off with the pressure water hose.

Step 3: Washing Your Car

  • Fill a bucket with water and car wash soap according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  • Use a microfiber wash mitt to gently wash your car from the top down, ensuring dirt is lifted away without scratching the paint.

  • Use a separate wheel brush to clean the wheels and tires thoroughly.

Step 4: Rinsing and Drying

  • Rinse off the soap from your car using the pressure water hose, starting from the top and working your way down.

  • Dry your car using soft, clean drying towels to prevent water spots.

Step 5: Buffing Your Car

  • After washing and drying your car, consider buffing to enhance its shine and remove minor imperfections.

  • Apply a small amount of buffing compound to a buffing pad and work it into the paint in a circular motion.

  • Buff the entire car, focusing on areas with swirl marks or light scratches.
